Search Sage Skills

Search Sage Skills

You can search for Skills content in Sage Knowledge from the Sage Knowledge landing page, the Sage Skills: Business landing page, or from a quick search box that appears in the static navigation bar at the top of every page.

Sage Knowledge defaults to a full text search of the entire platform. In the quick search box in the static navigation bar you can use the drop-down menu on the left side of the search bar to limit the search to Skills content.

When entering a word or phrase into any search bar in Sage Knowledge you will see suggested skills and topics displayed under the search bar if they appear in the title or as a topic keyword. You can select one of the options that appear below the search bar instead of doing a full text search.

You can also utilize the Advanced Search option in Sage Knowledge to limit results to the Skills content.

Search Results Page

At the top of the search results page you will see options to save your search (you will need a Sage Knowledge profile to take advantage of this feature), edit your search, change the number of results per page, and change how the results are sorted (by most relevant, most recent, and alphabetically).

Use the filters on the left of the search results page to refine by fields like content type, discipline, publication date, and by features contained within a skill or topic (data, documents, scenarios, and videos).

Click Apply Filter at the bottom of the Quick filters box to apply any changes you made and see updated search results.

Browse Sage Skills

You can browse each of the five modules in Sage Skills: Business from the landing page.

Click on any of the modules to see a full listing of all of the skills in the module.

Click into any of the skills to view the topics, which are organized into sections. You can navigate between sections using the menu on the left-hand side.

Within each section you will find a variety of topics, each of which can be expanded. Each topic will indicate the features you can find within the topic to the right of the title (Documents, Scenarios, Videos, Data, etc).

Complete a Self-Assessment

Sage Skills features both academic and practitioner experts in a library of flexible learning tracks across a variety of modules. Supporting a wide range of courses, Sage Skills offers students a self-guided journey to gain the career-ready skill sets essential for professional success.

If you're unsure where to begin your journey, start with the self-assessment feature to identify your current competencies and determine which skills make the most sense to explore first.

From the Sage Skills: Business or Sage Skills: Student Success homepage, click the Begin Self-Assessment button below the list of the five modules. This will direct you to a page where you will select which module you'd like to begin a self-assessment for.

Once you've selected the module you'd like to start with, you can then choose to take a self-assessment for the entire module or for a specific skill within the module.

Within the self-assessment you will select the button that best describes you for each of the statements listed. The options are: Strongly Like Me, Like Me, Unlike Me, and Strongly Unlike Me.

You'll also see the ability to download a PDF, share a link to the self-assessment via email, embed, or get a permalink to the self-assessment.

After you've completed the full assessment, click Submit to View Feedback at the bottom of the page. This will direct you to your self-assessment results, which will show your confidence level as it relates to each of the skills in the module.

You can download your results as a PDF, share them via email, or save them to the Self-Assessments section of your Sage Knowledge profile using the Add to List option. Saving your results to your profile will allow you to access them at any time and will enable you to compare self-assessment results to see your confidence levels grow and change over time.
